Common mechanical hazards

Squeezing, bumping, entanglement, cutting or cutting, shearing, pulling in or falling in are all common mechanical hazards.



Danger often occurs in position

1. The bite between the rotating parts and the tangential moving parts. Such as power transmission belt and pulley, chain and sprocket, rack and gear.

2. Axis of rotation. Including connectors, mandrel, chuck, lead screw, etc.



3. Rotating convex block and hole. Rotating parts that contain bumps or voids are very dangerous, such as fan blades, cams, flywheels, etc.

4. The bite of the opposite rotating part. Such as gears, rolling machines, mixing rolls, etc.

5, the joint of rotating parts and fixed parts. Such as spoke hand wheel or flywheel and machine tool bed, unprotected open shell mixing device.

6, one-way slide. Such as band saw edge teeth, sand belt polishing machine, convex sports belt and so on.



Correct avoidance of mechanical hazards


Operator

1, must be professional training, certificate on the job;

2. Take good security measures. Wear protective glasses and dust masks if necessary;

3, when operating the drill machine, do not wear gloves, do not change clothes next to the starting mechanical equipment.



Operating process

1, before the mechanical operation, carry out safety checks to confirm that there is no one in the danger area, and it is strictly prohibited to run the machinery "with disease";

2. When the machine is running, personnel activities within the rotating range of the machine are prohibited to ensure compliance;

3. After the mechanical operation, confirm that the mechanical operation has stopped and clean up the remaining materials on the site.

-- Equipment maintenance or the cleaning of the contact equipment must strictly implement the power failure listing system, and the outage equipment without power failure listing is regarded as operating equipment.




Mechanical protection device requirements

1, the safety protection device should be simple in structure, reasonable layout, no sharp edges or flanges;

2, the safety protection device should consider its reliability, should have the corresponding rigidity, hardness, stability, corrosion resistance and other characteristics;

3, the safety protection device should be interlocked with the moving parts, the safety protection device does not work when the machinery can not operate, the protection device construction spacing should meet the relevant provisions;

4, photoelectric type, induction type safety device set fault self-alarm system;

5, easy to check and repair.




Common safety devices



1. Security fence

The safety fence is a protective device used to limit the movement range of the robot, which can be used to fix the robot and restrict personnel from entering the robot operation area to reduce the purpose of safety hazards. Security fences can be made of metal or plastic to increase strength and durability.

2. Safe side contact

The safety contact side is installed on moving parts such as doors and fences of mechanical equipment to prevent hazards posed by moving parts or to shut down the entire system when contact with a person or object is detected. The elastic material and absorptive properties of the safety contact side effectively slow the collision of a person or object.




3. Safety carpet

Safety carpet is a pressure-sensitive sensor that is used only around robotic workstations, pipe bending machines, injection molding machines, stamping equipment and is used for area protection. After the installation is completed, the safety carpet can detect the human body, so as to give a signal, and then use this signal to control the start or stop of the equipment, so as to achieve the purpose of area protection.
